Susan Hill : How to read Strange Meeting

We literary/historical bloggers sometimes get a bit ratty about the questions students ask, but it must be even worse for the writers of novels being studied. Susan Hill, who wrote the WW1 novel Strange Meeting tries hard to be helpful, but sometimes her patience clearly wears thin, and she resorts to honesty.

Her blog is enjoyably written, and she’s just starting a series of posts on Virginia Woolf for Dummies, which I shall be following with interest.
