The Living Unknown Soldier

A play is coming on at the Arcola Theatre in London, based on a book that is on my to-read list. It’s The Living Unknown Soldier by Jean-Yves la Naour, the true story of a French soldier who lost his memory, and of all the families who wanted to claim him as their own son. La Naour is the author of the excellent book I mentioned recently about Claire Ferchaud, the Catholic visionary who tried to set herself up as the Great War’s Joan of Arc.

There is a trailer for the Arcola show at YouTube, but it’s a bit uninformative (and a bit pious too, maybe.)
